Title: Operations Supervisor – Manufacturing (Contract)

Location: Santa Clarita, CA – 100% Onsite

Compensation: $55-$65 per hour (W2)

Contract Duration: 1+years (Expected through December 2027)

Employment Type: W-2 Contract

Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

About the Opportunity

Large manufacturing company in Santa Clarita, CA, seeking experienced Operations Supervisors for multiple contract assignments.

We are looking for experienced manufacturing leaders who can maintain production performance, lead and motivate employees, and provide stability during a period of organizational change.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing operations and frontline production employees to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Provide consistent leadership, direction, coaching, and support to manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, equipment, and production resources to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor productivity, identify production bottlenecks, and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Manage employee performance, provide feedback, and maintain accountability for company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Lead teams through changing operational priorities while maintaining employee morale, engagement, and productivity.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, visual management, standardized work, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other departments.
• Supervise employees in a unionized manufacturing environment while following established workplace procedures and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Required Qualifications

• 4+years experience supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience supervising union-represented employees.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and manage manufacturing teams.
• Strong understanding of production operations, scheduling, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot operational challenges and maintain production targets.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain team engagement, accountability, and productivity in a changing manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clarita during for the 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Anticipated Future Openings:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
