Database Administrator

Role Description This part-time remote Database Administrator role at مركز هيئة المحامين للتسوية والتحكيم focuses on maintaining and optimizing the organization’s database environments. The Database Administrator will manage database configuration, monitor performance, and ensure data integrity, security, and availability. Daily tasks include administering user access, performing backups and recovery operations, and implementing changes to support new applications or features. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving database-related issues, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and documenting standards and procedures. The Database Administrator is expected to work independently, communicate clearly, and support continuous improvement of data management practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Administration and Databases to maintain reliable, secure, and scalable data environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and Replication to support efficient data structures, redundancy, and high availability.
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose performance issues, resolve errors, and optimize database operations.
• Experience with SQL-based systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) or other relational databases is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, and database security best practices is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.
