BAS Accounting Manager

BAS Accounting Manager

We currently have an opening for a full-time BAS Accounting Manager. We are seeking a highly motivated, client-focused, and results-driven professional to join our growing team. This leadership role manages client engagements, oversees accounting operations across multiple entities, develops staff, and ensures accurate, integrity-driven financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee accounting and advisory engagements for multiple clients across various industries.
• Review and analyze financial statements, management reports, and key performance indicators to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing proactive financial guidance.
• Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes for client engagements.
• Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and tax-related activities.
• Assess client accounting processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Provide strategic recommendations to clients regarding financial operations, cash flow management, budgeting, and business performance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals through coaching, training, delegation, and performance feedback.
• Review work prepared by staff and senior accountants to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to firm standards.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation to meet client deadlines and firm objectives.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development initiatives, process improvements, and business growth opportunities.
• Perform special projects, financial analyses, and other advisory services as requested.
• Ability to work in-office, remotely, and on-site with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory and client management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams, developing staff, and leading client engagements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business owners, executives, and team members.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software platforms.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
