English As A Second Language Teacher

Position Overview:

We are seeking an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to support elementary and middle school students in Monroeville, PA. The candidate will work with a caseload of approximately 10–20 students and provide ESL instruction and support based on student needs.

Position Details

• Grade Levels: Elementary & Middle School (K–8)
• Caseload: Approximately 10–20 students
• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment: Through the end of the school year
• Location: Monroeville, PA 15146

Required Qualifications

• ESL Program Specialist Certificate
• Appropriate instructional certification covering the applicable grade bands:
• Elementary: K–4
• Middle School: 5–8

Alternative: Candidates holding an ESL Program Specialist Certificate and a K–12 Reading Specialist Certificate may also meet the certification requirements for both grade bands.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESL instruction and academic support to students.
• Develop instruction based on students’ language proficiency and educational needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff.
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Support students in developing English language skills across academic settings.
