ESL Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves helping non-native English speakers improve their language skills through engaging and effective instruction. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults, tutoring, and classroom experience, along with a strong command of English. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by fostering language development and cultural understanding in a supportive learning environment.

Duties

• Develop and deliver engaging ESL lessons tailored to students’ proficiency levels
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation
• Assess students’ language skills regularly and provide constructive feedback
• Incorporate various teaching methods and educational resources to enhance learning outcomes
• Support students in improving their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in English
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and improve instructional strategies
• Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of learners from different backgrounds

Skills

• Proven experience working with adults in an educational setting
• Strong ability to motivate and engage students
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Effective teaching skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
• Classroom experience is highly desirable, especially in ESL or language instruction
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work with diverse student populations
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple classes or groups simultaneously
