Scope of Project

VDOT ITD is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise solutions while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps).
• Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows and business process automations.
• Create and configure Power Pages for internal and external-facing websites.
• Customize, configure, deploy, and support Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
• Utilize Microsoft Copilot Studio for AI-powered business solutions.
• Conduct discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
• Analyze business challenges and translate requirements into Power Platform solutions.
• Develop applications leveraging Dataverse and Power Platform components.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot Power Platform-related issues and implement solutions.
• Create technical designs and documentation for reusable use cases.
• Support DevOps initiatives using Power Platform Pipelines and ALM Accelerator.
• Develop technical documentation including requirements, recommendations, and analysis.
• Create mockups and prototypes based on business requirements.
• Define and maintain governance and best practices for platform usage.
• Participate in Agile SDLC activities including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with system administrators and cross-functional IT teams.

Required Skills

Mandatory Requirements

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
• Power Apps
• Power Automate (Flow)
• Power BI
• 5+ years of custom development experience using:
• C#
• .NET
• JavaScript
• 2+ years of experience with DevOps in Power Platform environments.
• 3+ years of experience with:
• Azure Synapse
• Azure Data Factory
• Data Integrations and Data Migration projects
• Strong experience in Power Platform customization, development, deployment, and administration.
• Experience leading business requirement gathering sessions and solution design workshops.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Highly Desired Skills

• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• 5+ years of experience with:
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft 365
• PowerShell Scripting
• SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
• Power Apps Developer or Power Apps Professional Certification.
• Experience with Power Platform Pipelines and ALM Accelerator.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Power Platform Certifications.
• Experience establishing Power Platform governance frameworks.
• Experience creating enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
