VDI / Citrix Engineer Sr Principal

For our client, we are seeking a VDI / Citrix Engineer Sr Principal to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead the architecture and engineering of enterprise virtual desktop environments across both on-premises and cloud platforms. The position will focus on designing, deploying, and improving secure, scalable VDI solutions that support modern infrastructure needs. You will collaborate with remote technical teams to integrate systems, automate operations, and deliver clear documentation and technical briefings that support project execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $149,469 – $195,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Design system architecture for new and existing VDI environments
• Develop enterprise-level designs for on-premises and cloud VDI systems
• Deploy and enhance VDI solutions on Azure and AWS
• Integrate VDI platforms, including Citrix and AVD, within existing infrastructures
• Maintain Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments for optimal performance
• Automate operations and cloud hosting capabilities using infrastructure as code tools
• Provide documentation and technical briefings for project status reviews

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations
• 5-7 years specifically in VDI engineering or systems engineering
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret
• Proficiency in Citrix, AVD, AWS, and cloud infrastructure management
