Assistant Manager Administration & Security (Ex-Army Officer)

We are looking for a experienced retired army officer for the position of Asst. Manager Administration & Security who will be responsible for managing the overall administrative functions, plant security, discipline, facility management at the manufacturing plant.

Role & responsibilities

Security Management

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive security systems and procedures for the plant premises.
• Manage and supervise security personnel, including deployment, shift schedules, attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Establish and monitor access-control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, vendors, and vehicles.
• Ensure effective operation of security gates, visitor management, CCTV surveillance, access-control systems, alarms, and other security infrastructure.
• Conduct regular security inspections and surprise checks.
• Prepare and implement security procedures for emergencies, fire, theft, natural disasters, industrial disturbances, and other unforeseen situations.

Administration Management

• Manage day-to-day general administration activities of the plant like housekeeping, sanitation, cleanliness, and upkeep of the plant and office premises.
• Oversee canteen, transport, accommodation, gardening, housekeeping, and other employee welfare services, as applicable.
• Monitor administrative budgets, vendor bills, service contracts, and related expenses.
• Maintain proper records, registers, licenses, agreements, and statutory documents related to administration and security.
• Support plant management in organizing meetings, events, and official visits.
• Ensure proper discipline and adherence to company policies across administrative areas.

Emergency & Crisis Management

• Develop and periodically review the plant's emergency response and crisis-management procedures.
• Organize mock drills for fire, evacuation, security breaches, natural disasters, and other emergency situations in coordination with relevant departments.
• Ensure emergency response teams are trained and adequately prepared.
• Coordinate with EHS/Safety, HR, Operations, Maintenance, and other departments during emergencies.

Employee Discipline & Welfare

• Promote a disciplined, professional, and respectful work environment.
• Support HR and Plant Management in maintaining workplace discipline and adherence to company policies.

Team Leadership & Training

• Lead and motivate security and administrative support teams.
• Conduct regular briefings, training sessions, and awareness programs for security personnel.
• Ensure security guards and support staff understand their duties, responsibilities, emergency procedures, and code of conduct.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in a manufacturing plant, industrial facility, corporate security, logistics, or large-scale organization.
• Knowledge of industrial security practices, access control, CCTV, fire safety, emergency response, and risk assessment.
• Experience in managing large security/admin teams and outsourced manpower.
