What they need

A well-established chemical manufacturing organization is seeking an EHS Administrator to support environmental compliance, safety recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting activities at its Baytown, TX facility.

Based in a fast-paced industrial environment, this individual will play a critical role in maintaining EHS documentation, tracking compliance obligations, supporting waste management programs, and ensuring records are accurate, organized, and audit-ready.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented EHS professional looking to grow within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

The Role

  • Maintain environmental compliance documentation, chemical inventories, compliance calendars, and records associated with waste, stormwater, SPCC, and other environmental programs.

  • Coordinate and track environmental reporting requirements, including Tier II, TRI, hazardous waste, and permit-related submissions while supporting regulatory compliance efforts.

  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste documentation, including manifests, waste profiles, shipping records, disposal documentation, and vendor coordination.

  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping, EHS databases, training records, incident documentation, audit logs, and corrective action tracking systems.

  • Support incident investigations by organizing records, statements, photographs, and documentation while maintaining accurate reporting metrics.

  • Coordinate training administration activities, including training matrices, scheduling, attendance tracking, record retention, and compliance monitoring.

  • Prepare and organize documentation for internal, customer, insurance, and regulatory audits while ensuring records remain accurate and readily accessible.

The Candidate

  • 2+ years of experience in EHS, environmental compliance, industrial safety, waste management, or a related field.

  • Experience within manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, industrial, transportation, or other highly regulated environments preferred.

  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, Tier II, TRI, SPCC, and hazardous waste compliance requirements.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and data management skills with the ability to maintain detailed records and reporting systems.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple deadlines, tracking compliance obligations, and identifying issues before they become problems.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, management, vendors, and employees.
