EHS Deputy Safety Manager

Mills Recruitment is partnering with an established player in the data centre infrastructure sector, to recruit an experienced Deputy Safety Manager to support its growing data centre project operations in Malaysia.  About the Role

The Challenge
Support the implementation of a robust EHS system while ensuring full compliance with Malaysian regulations (DOSH, CIDB, FMA) across a fast-paced construction environment.
 
The Opportunity
Work closely with an experienced EHS Manager, engage with key stakeholders, and play a hands-on role in strengthening safety culture and processes on-site.

What You Will Do
Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of project EHS systems and standards
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks
• Track and follow up on corrective actions and compliance records
• Coordinate audits and inspections with clients, authorities, and third parties
• Assist in incident investigations and safety training initiatives

Who We Are Looking For  
Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, M&E Engineering, or related fields.
  Minimum 6 years of construction or M&E EHS management experience.
• Familiar with Malaysian EHS regulations, construction safety standards, and risk control systems.
• Able to prepare RA, PTW, HIRA, and Incident Reports
• Malaysian Green Book certification required; NEBOSH/OSHA preferred.
• Experience working with subcontractors or site teams
• Basic understanding of incident investigation and risk prevention
• Experience in construction safety or EHS-related roles
