EHS Engineer

About the role

Support and implement the company's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Conduct daily site inspections, monitor contractors and subcontractors for EHS compliance, and manage high-risk activities including work at height, confined space entry, lifting operations, hot work, and electrical work. Support the Permit to Work system, conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis, and lead EHS activities during machinery installation, commissioning, and plant start-up.

Key responsibilities

• Support and implement the company's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and legal requirements
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and potential EHS risks
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company EHS requirements during construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities
• Monitor and control high-risk activities, including work at height, confined space entry, lifting operations, hot work, and electrical work
• Support the Permit to Work (PTW) system and ensure required safety controls are properly implemented before work begins
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct EHS orientation, toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness activities for employees and contractors
• Participate in incident, accident, near-miss, and unsafe-condition investigations and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintain EHS records, inspection reports, training records, incident statistics, and other required documentation
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, contractors, and other departments on EHS matters

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of EHS experience, preferably in chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, or industrial plant environments
• Good knowledge of Thai occupational safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations
• Practical knowledge of PTW, JSA/JHA, risk assessment, LOTO, work at height, confined space, hot work, and lifting operations
• Experience in contractor safety management and site inspection
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with employees, contractors, and cross-functional teams
• Good command of English for workplace communication and EHS documentation
• Proactive, hands-on, responsible, and able to work effectively in a developing plant environment
