About the role

Support the EHS Manager in implementing EHS programs across the CB plant to achieve EHS targets and improve EHS performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee EHS activities by leading the development, implementation, and management of EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, standards, and regulations
• Assist in developing, drafting, implementing, and complying with Company EMS requirements according to ISO 14001 standard
• Serve as the focal point for implementation and coordination of all environmental, health, and safety compliance activities across the company, working with relevant plant personnel to reduce waste streams, disposal, documentation, and environmental best practices, including implementation and maintenance of Company 's environmental management system
• Conduct EHS assessments and recommend preventive/corrective actions based on observations, while developing concepts, programs, and initiatives for continuous EHS improvement
• Review incident reports and analyze incident data to identify injury patterns and determine if adequate investigations have been conducted to assess whether unsafe conditions contributed to incidents; advise departments on injury trends and appropriate safety procedures that may reduce injuries; provide information to various units to enable proactive action in reducing incidents and improving safety
• Review and conduct safety assessments for plans and specifications for new safety equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), machinery, and various processes to identify and address all relevant environmental and safety concerns to maintain and improve company safety standards
• Work with Human Resources to plan, develop, and implement EHS training programs to support policies and procedures designed to maintain compliance requirements, and provide guidance, training, and technical support to supervisors, employees, and safety committees on behavioral safety processes and other continuous improvement techniques related to environmental health and safety issues
• Facilitate development of EHS experts within departments in the CB plant while coaching supervisors and EHS coordinators with the aim of increasing awareness, participation, and commitment to EHS activities

Requirements

• Solid experience of more than 4 years in MNC
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environment, Chemistry, or related field
• National Safety Engineer Certificate
• Registered Safety Officer Certificate
• ISO 14001 Internal Audit Certificate
