EHS Executive

For our client, we are seeking a EHS Executive to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This senior leadership role will shape environmental, health, and safety direction across large-scale construction efforts, with a strong focus on governance, risk reduction, and execution consistency. The position partners closely with project executives and field leaders to identify high-risk work, strengthen incident prevention, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards. It also calls for building the capability of EHS professionals while representing the project in regulatory and stakeholder discussions. Success in this role will be measured by stronger safety performance, clear accountability, and actionable insights for leadership.

Location: San Jose, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $205,000 – $215,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define project-wide EHS strategy and goals aligned with enterprise standards
• Oversee EHS governance and auditing throughout all project phases
• Lead serious-incident investigations and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with project executives to plan for and mitigate high-risk work
• Develop and mentor project EHS professionals to build their capabilities
• Represent the project in regulatory and stakeholder engagements
• Track and report EHS performance metrics, analyzing trends for leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in occupational safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or a related field; master's preferred
• 8-12 years of experience in construction EHS, including leadership of large-scale projects
• Proven experience leading multi-discipline EHS teams or business unit EHS leadership
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction training and Course 500 training certifications required
• First Aid, CPR, AED, or Narcan administration certifications preferred
