Electrician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Electrical Maintenance and Repair

1. Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
2. Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose problems involving electrical circuits, motors, controls, and equipment.
3. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
4. Inspect electrical installations and identify damaged wiring, loose connections, overheating, and other potential hazards.
5. Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and machinery.
6. Repair or replace defective electrical components as authorized.

B. Production Equipment Support

1. Provide electrical maintenance support for production machinery, pumps, motors, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
2. Coordinate with the FME team and Production Department to address equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
3. Assist in troubleshooting motor controls, sensors, switches, and basic control circuits within the employee’s qualifications and authorization.
4. Respond promptly to reported electrical issues affecting production operations.

C. Preventive Maintenance and Documentation

1. Follow the established preventive maintenance schedule for electrical equipment and facilities.
2. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and replaced parts.
3. Report recurring electrical problems and recommend corrective actions.
4. Monitor the condition of electrical tools, equipment, and spare parts.
5. Immediately report electrical hazards, defective equipment, and unsafe working conditions to the immediate supervisor.

D. Safety and Compliance

1. Strictly follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements, and applicable occupational safety standards.
2. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and properly maintained tools when performing electrical work.
3. Ensure electrical work is performed only when authorized and within the employee’s training, qualifications, and applicable licensing requirements.
4. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area after completing maintenance activities.
5. Observe applicable food manufacturing hygiene, sanitation, and food safety requirements when working in production areas.
6. Comply with company policies, rules, and regulations.

E. Coordination and Other Duties

1. Coordinate with the FME Supervisor regarding maintenance priorities, repair schedules, and required materials.
2. Assist other maintenance personnel in mechanical, facilities, and equipment maintenance activities when necessary and qualified.
3. Participate in equipment inspections, maintenance meetings, and safety briefings.
4. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of electrical wiring, electrical diagrams, circuit breakers, motors, and control systems.

• Ability to use electrical testing instruments, such as a multimeter and clamp meter.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting procedures.

• Basic documentation and maintenance reporting skills.

Other Requirements

• Physically capable of performing maintenance work, including standing, climbing, and working in designated equipment areas, subject to applicable safety requirements.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by plant operations.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with the FME team.
