Especialista EHS

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.

Promote and strengthen the company's safety culture through continuous improvement initiatives.

Monitor and report Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) key performance indicators (KPIs).

Coordinate emergency preparedness and response programs.

Conduct EHS induction training for new employees and contractors.

Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve EHS performance.

Coordinate occupational health activities and support medical service programs.

Follow up on workplace accidents and occupational illness cases.

Monitor the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Coordinate with authorized waste management suppliers.

Participate in waste reduction, recycling, and environmental sustainability programs.

Monitor compliance with NOM-STPS standards and other applicable EHS regulations.

Prepare EHS reports, presentations, and documentation for management.

Inspect emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, alarms, and fire protection systems.

Identify and evaluate applicable legal requirements related to Environmental, Health, and Safety.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field required.

2 to 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Intermediate English level preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Knowledge of NOM-STPS regulations and Environmental, Health & Safety management systems.

Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work with different departments and promote a strong safety culture.

Proactive attitude and teamwork skills.
