Fabrication Plant head- Switchgears/ MCB Box

Job Summary:

The Fabrication Plant Head for Switchgears/MCB Box is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operations within the fabrication plant. This includes ensuring efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards for switchgear and MCB enclosures, optimizing processes, managing budgets, and leading a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal fabrication, specifically for electrical components, and a proven track record in plant management and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire fabrication plant operations, ensuring production targets for switchgear and MCB boxes are met efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance.
• Manage the plant's profit and loss (P&L) statement, including budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure adherence to all quality standards (e.g., ISO, relevant electrical product standards) for fabricated components and finished enclosures.
• Implement and maintain robust safety protocols and environmental compliance within the plant, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including production managers, supervisors, and fabrication staff.
• Optimize manufacturing processes through the application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Manage raw material procurement, inventory levels, and supply chain logistics to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Oversee the maintenance of all machinery and equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and process improvements for switchgear and MCB enclosures.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international regulations pertinent to manufacturing and electrical product fabrication.
