JG6 SP 19-23 £33,119 - £35,570 FTE

Actual Salary £27,517.75 - £29,554.23 per annum pro rata

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an exceptional HLTA to join our vibrant, collaborative and happy staff team. This role will involve working alongside our HLTA team to provide cover for PPA & other regular cover, across the school. We welcome applications from practitioners with an interest in a specific curriculum area, in particular, music or PE.

St Peter’s is a thriving, three-form entry primary school set within beautiful, well-resourced buildings surrounded by green open spaces. We are a warm, welcoming and inclusive community with a strong vision and values at our heart. Our commitment to excellence has been recognised through our recent inspections, with an ‘Excellent’ judgement in our last SIAMS inspection and ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection (February 2023).

As part of the Lighthouse Schools’ Partnership and one of 34 National English Hubs, we are proud to offer a clear and purposeful pedagogy, an engaging and ambitious curriculum, and high expectations for every member of our school community. We are deeply committed to ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning, and we invest in high-quality professional development for all staff, supporting them to grow and flourish as outstanding practitioners. At St Peter’s, we care deeply about the success, wellbeing and development of both our pupils and our team.

We are looking for an HLTA who will bring energy, passion and dedication to our school community. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be committed to our safeguarding culture and ensure that each child’s wellbeing is a top priority.
  • Be driven by a genuine passion to make a meaningful difference in the lives of all children, supporting our vision of excellence and flourishing
  • Hold high aspirations for every pupil, with a particular commitment to championing disadvantaged and SEND learners
  • Thrive as part of a team, working collaboratively and supportively with colleagues
  • Be flexible and pragmatic and be able to adapt to teaching in different year groups – sometimes at short notice
  • Demonstrate positivity and resilience, and take joy in celebrating the achievements of both pupils and staff
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Have strong behaviour management skills and a commitment to upholding our behaviour curriculum
  • Be reflective and forward-thinking, with a genuine desire to continually learn and improve

We Can Offer You:

  • A welcoming, talented, and supportive staff team.
  • Strong year group and phase teams helping each other succeed.
  • Happy, motivated, and respectful pupils.
  • An engaged and supportive parent community.
  • A well-planned, resourced curriculum with evidence-based teaching.
  • A school that values staff wellbeing and manageable workloads.
  • An inclusive, diverse, and caring church school community.
  • Ambitious CPD to support your professional growth.

This role would suit an experienced HLTA with whole class teaching experience or a practitioner with QTS who is looking to develop experience and gain excellent professional development opportunities.

If you are an ambitious and dedicated practitioner looking to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking school where both staff and pupils are encouraged to thrive, we would love to hear from you.
