Medical Assistant

Overview

We are a growing dermatology practice in Dallas, TX seeking a dependable, personable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent patient care and working in a professional, team-oriented environment.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with the physician and clinical team to provide efficient, compassionate care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for dermatology examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs
• Assist the physician with skin examinations and procedures
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain appropriate clinical supplies
• Prepare specimens for laboratory processing
• Provide patient instructions and wound care
• Scribe during patient visits and document in EHR
• Assist with prescription requests, pharmacy communication, and patient messages
• Assist with clinical and administrative duties as directed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and office policies
• Provide a welcoming and professional experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred but not required
• EMA Modernizing Medicine experience preferred but not required
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional and compassionate bedside manner
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
