  • Coordinate minor facility repair and improvement works with internal teams and contractors
  • Maintain a register of facility defects and track actions until closure
  • Ensure emergency access routes, walkways and working areas remain unobstructed and serviceable
  • Conduct routine EHS inspections and workplace observations to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
  • Support implementation of Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Permit-to-Work requirements
  • Monitor PPE compliance and general workforce safety behaviours
  • Support incident and near-miss investigations and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions
  • Drive good housekeeping standards throughout the plant and conduct routine plant walkdowns
  • Monitor contractors performing maintenance, repair and facility works within the plant
  • Verify that required permits, risk assessments and control measures are established before work begins
  • Support preparation and closure of client EHS and facility observations
  • Prepare a concise monthly Facilities & EHS performance update highlighting major findings, overdue actions, recurring problems and improvement initiatives

About you

  • Comfortable conducting plant inspections and engaging contractors and operations personnel
  • Able to identify deficiencies and independently follow up corrective actions
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Practical, hands-on and willing to spend significant time in the plant rather than performing the role primarily from the office

  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to make decisions, work with people and set standards
  • Proven ability to manage a safety program and create a safety culture through safety programs
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Yellow Book (Registered Site Safety Supervisor) – Optional
