Quality Engineer

• Implement disciplined APQP procedure throughout the new program. 1) Advanced Quality Planning (APQP)
• Engage in the early stage of the project, identify and transform the technical and quality requirements of the customers, compile the project quality assurance plan.
• Organize PFMEA reviews to identify potential failures of products/processes, identify special characteristics & critical characteristics, and establish a list of characteristics and control plans.
• Prepare/review the control plan, define the inspection tool and measuring tool schemes;
• Plan analysis of the measurement system (MSA) and the initial process capability study (Cpk).
• Assess manufacturing feasibility, identify process, tooling and supply chain quality risks, and promote the early elimination of risks 2) Sample, test and process validation management
• Track the DV/PV test plan, follow up on the test progress, organize root cause analysis for test failure issues, complete the rectification loop, and verify the effectiveness of the improvement.
• Organize the review of samples and control the quality of samples;
• Track the quality throughout the entire process of the trial production, monitor process fluctuations and defects, and promote the optimization of processes and tooling.
• Change Management: Assess the quality risks brought about by engineering change, update FMEA and control plans, revalidate, and resubmit PPAP when necessary. 3) PPAP documents submission
• Coordinate the collection and review of the complete set of PPAP documents, submit to the customer, obtain the PSW approval, and achieve mass production access;
• Closed-loop rectification of non-conformities in PPAP.
• Coordinate various customer audits: QSA, QPA, VDA6.3 process audits, lead internal pre-audits, and rectify non-conformities. 4) Project Quality Issue Management (Development Stage)
• As a centralized window to handle all quality issues during the project development stage. Tools such as 8D and 5Why are used to draw on design, process, production, and supply chain resources.
• Establish a problem ledger, track rectification, verification, and closure to prevent them from flowing into mass production. 5) Mass production Handover:
• Transfer FMEA, control plans, special characteristics, historical issues, and inspection standards to production quality.
• Manage customer complaints/concerns, necessary conference calls with customers, or support domestic or oversea business trip if needed.
• Lead plant ECN for process change as champion.
• Lead process audit and tracking improvement for any findings and coordinate the closure.
• Maintain inspection instructions and coach trainers/inspectors.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor. Essential Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
• At least 5 years’ experience in automotive quality related.
• Familiar with quality system like IATF16949, VDA6.3,6.5.
• Familiar with Molding/Plating/Painting/Assembly process of plastic part, preferably in appearance parts.
• Good virtue, character, persistence. Economical thinking, commercial sense, contribution mindset.
• Familiar with quality tools, e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA,8D, etc.
• Good problem-solving skills and good leadership during problem solving.
• Good computer Skills-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Fluent oral and written English.
• Able to travel and work overtime. Formal Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering technology field.
