B. In this role, you will take ownership of the release of series components in a structured PPAP-like environment and help shape robust and sustainable supplier processes in serial production. This position is particularly suited to candidates with experience in the automotive industry or a comparable manufacturing environment who bring strong PPAP expertise, technical depth, and a structured approach to supplier quality. Reporting to the Team Lead SCM Quality, you will play a key role in improving supplier performance, strengthening product quality, and driving cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, review, and release supplier production processes within a structured series release and PPAP-like environment
  • Assess supplier manufacturing processes, evaluate risks, and define sustainable improvement measures
  • Review and challenge FMEAs, control plans, inspection plans, process flows, and manufacturing documentation
  • Support suppliers through sample approval and series release with clear guidance and professional challenge
  • Perform on-site supplier process assessments, requalification, and risk evaluations
  • Evaluate process robustness, serial capability, and effectiveness of control measures
  • Ensure part quality in close collaboration with Engineering, Technical Purchasing, and Incoming Goods Inspection
  • Actively involve relevant stakeholders and ensure cross-functional alignment
  • Lead and support initiatives to improve supplier processes and product quality
  • Analyze quality KPIs and derive targeted improvement actions
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the SCM Quality organization

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
  • Several years of experience in supplier or production quality, preferably in the automotive or a comparable industrial manufacturing environment
  • Solid hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, and structured series release processes
  • Strong knowledge of quality methods and tools (e.g., FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
  • Experience with mechanical components such as cast iron or machined parts; turbocharger-related experience is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001; knowledge of IATF 16949 is an advantage
  • Experience with supplier audits and process validations is a plus
  • Good SAP and MS Office skills; Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
  • Structured, proactive, and hands-on working style with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional and international teams
  • Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%)

  • International and dynamic work environment
  • Flexible Working Model
  • Training offerings in-house
  • Office easily reachable due to excellent public transportation links
