Zum Jahreswechsel übernehmen wir die Shops im Tierpark Hellabrunn und entwickeln sie zu modernen, erlebnisorientierten Retail-Flächen weiter. Nach einer Umbauphase werden die Shops im Februar 2027 neu eröffnet.

Als Retail Operations Manager (m/w/d) übernimmst du eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Neueröffnung und dem anschließenden Betrieb der Standorte. Du baust dein Team auf, verantwortest das Tagesgeschäft und gestaltest Sortiment und Produkte gemeinsam mit unserem Head Office.

Deine Aufgaben

Neueröffnung & Führung

• Begleitung der Umbau- und Einrichtungsphase
• Aufbau, Führung und Weiterentwicklung des Verkaufsteams gemeinsam mit dem Assistant Shop Manager
• Verantwortung für einen reibungslosen Shopbetrieb und exzellenten Kundenservice

Retail Operations

• Steuerung der Shops nach qualitativen und betriebswirtschaftlichen Kennzahlen sowie Erreichung der vereinbarten Umsatz- und Ergebnisziele.
• Dienst-, Schicht- und Urlaubsplanung
• Verantwortung für Kassenprozesse, Tagesabschlüsse und Umsatzkontrolle
• Umsetzung einer ansprechenden Warenpräsentation und Visual-Merchandising-Konzepte
• Erster Ansprechpartner für das Management und die Fachabteilungen des Tierparks Hellabrunn

Einkauf, Sortiment & Produktentwicklung

• Verantwortung für Bestellwesen, Warenmanagement und Bestandskontrolle
• Mitwirkung bei Sortimentsplanung, Sortimentsoptimierung und Produktentwicklung
• Analyse von Verkaufszahlen und Ableitung von Optimierungsmaßnahmen
• Pflege des Warenwirtschaftssystems

Administration

• Administrative und kaufmännische Verantwortung für die Standorte
• Prüfung von Eingangsrechnungen sowie buchhaltungsvorbereitende Tätigkeiten
• Vorbereitung lohnrelevanter Unterlagen und Schnittstelle zur zentralen Lohn- und Gehaltsabrechnung
• Erstellung von Auswertungen und Reports für die Geschäftsleitung

Dein Profil

• Abgeschlossene kaufmännische Ausbildung oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Einzelhandel, idealerweise mit Führungsverantwortung
• Erfahrung in Mitarbeiterführung, Warenmanagement oder Einkauf
• Unternehmerisches Denken sowie Interesse an Retail-Trends, Sortimenten, Produkten und deren erfolgreicher Vermarktung
• Organisationsstärke, Eigeninitiative und Verantwortungsbewusstsein
• Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse sowie gute Englischkenntnisse
• Sicherer Umgang mit MS Office und Warenwirtschaftssystemen

Would you like to do more than simply manage a store? Join us in creating an exciting new retail concept at one of Germany's most renowned zoological parks.

As we take over the retail operations at Tierpark Hellabrunn, we are transforming the existing shops into modern, experience-driven retail destinations. Following a refurbishment phase, the stores will reopen in February 2027.

As Retail Operations Manager (m/f/d), you will play a key role in both the reopening project and the successful operation of the stores thereafter. From building your team and managing daily operations to contributing to product development and assortment planning, you will help shape the future of our retail business in Munich.

Your Responsibilities

Store Opening & Team Development

• Support the refurbishment and store setup process
• Recruit, train, manage and develop the sales team alongside the Assistant Shop Manager

Retail Operations

• Manage the stores according to operational and commercial targets
• Manage and motivate your team to achieve sales and profit budgets set
• Oversee cash handling, daily reconciliations and sales performance
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations , leading by example and delivering outstanding customer service
• Implement visual merchandising standards and attractive product presentation
• Oversee staff scheduling and workforce planning
• Act as the primary point of contact for Tierpark Hellabrunn management and key stakeholders

Purchasing, Merchandise & Product Development

• Manage purchasing, inventory control and stock replenishment
• Contribute to assortment planning and product range optimization in cooperation with our Head Office
• Support the development of new products and exclusive souvenir collections
• Analyze sales data and identify opportunities for improvement

Administration & Reporting

• Manage administrative and commercial processes for the stores
• Review supplier invoices and support accounting-related activities
• Prepare payroll-related documentation and act as the local liaison to the central payroll function
• Maintain employee records and timekeeping data
• Prepare reports and operational analyses for management
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal procedures

Your Profile

• Completed commercial/business qualification or equivalent experience
• Several years of retail experience, ideally in a leadership role
• Experience managing and developing teams
• Background in purchasing, merchandise planning or inventory management is an advantage
• Commercial mindset and interest in retail trends, products and assortment development
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Good German and English language skills
• Confident user of Microsoft Office and merchandise management systems
