Safety Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and safety requirements at the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist with risk assessments, job safety analyses, and the implementation of appropriate control measures.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and EHS awareness training for workers and contractors.
• Monitor compliance with applicable EHS regulations, project safety requirements, and safe work procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams and contractors to address EHS issues and maintain safe working conditions.
• Assist in investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and track preventive and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, including inspection checklists, training records, incident reports, and safety statistics.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills, first aid arrangements, and emergency equipment checks.
• Monitor site housekeeping, waste management, and environmental controls, and report any concerns.
• Prepare regular EHS reports and support safety meetings, audits, and other duties assigned by the EHS Manager or project management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Qualified as an OSH Coordinator registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia.
• 1–3 years of EHS work experience in construction projects; experience with data center, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Possession of First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications is an advantage.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of conducting training and preparing reports.
• Meticulous and proactive; able to make sound judgments and decisions under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with EHS management systems and reporting tools is preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Strong time management skills; able to complete tasks on schedule and maintain a high level of punctuality.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,200.00 per month
