What they need
Role - Safety Manager -Metro/Rail
Location: Chennai
Experience: 12-25 Years (8+ years in Metro).
Qualification -
- BE/B Tech (any stream) +Environmental qualification at diploma or degree level
- Health & Safety qualification recognized by local authorities Mandatory
Mandatory Skills -
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
- Good understanding of Indian/local EHS legal and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in railway/Metro projects is mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive EHS performance and compliance across projects.
- Conduct and monitor EHS risk assessments and implement mitigation actions.
- Prepare and maintain Emergency Response Plans.
- Monitor subcontractors and ensure EHS compliance.
- Implement EHS training, awareness and communication programs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and local statutory requirements.
- Deploy EHS standards, tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
