Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – SAP PowerDesigner to ER/Studio Migration to lead enterprise-scale data model and metadata migration initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP PowerDesigner and ER/Studio Data Architect, along with experience in data modeling, metadata management, migration automation, and stakeholder management. This role will define migration strategies, execute pilot and production migrations, develop automation accelerators, and establish repeatable migration frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess SAP PowerDesigner environments, including Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models (CDM/LDM/PDM).
• Analyze model complexity, dependencies, domains, reusable objects, custom metadata, and extensions.
• Define migration strategy, standards, mappings, governance, risks, and implementation roadmap.
• Lead pilot migrations and execute model conversions using ER/Studio MetaWizard and related tools.
• Define source-to-target mappings for entities, attributes, relationships, keys, domains, datatypes, and custom properties.
• Develop automation scripts, utilities, and reusable migration accelerators using ER/Studio Automation APIs.
• Validate migrated models through reconciliation, comparison, synchronization, and metadata integrity checks.
• Troubleshoot migration exceptions and ensure traceability and compliance with modeling standards.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, data modelers, DBAs, and business/technology stakeholders.
• Lead workshops, technical discussions, design reviews, and migration governance sessions.
• Create migration playbooks, standards, runbooks, documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to data modeling and metadata modernization capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, or Metadata Management.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PowerDesigner.
• Strong hands-on experience with ER/Studio Data Architect.
• Proven experience in PowerDesigner-to-ER/Studio or similar enterprise modeling platform migrations.
• Strong expertise in CDM, LDM, and PDM.
• Experience with PowerDesigner repositories, domains, reusable objects, dependencies, shortcuts, custom extensions, and metadata.
• Experience with ER/Studio MetaWizard, Repository Management, Data Dictionary, and Model Synchronization.
• Strong understanding of relational database design and multiple DBMS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, XML, scripting/automation, metadata analysis, and source-to-target mapping.
• Experience developing migration validation and reconciliation frameworks.
• Strong consulting, communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building reusable migration frameworks and accelerators.
• Background in enterprise data governance and metadata management.
• Experience with large, complex enterprise data models.
• Customer-facing consulting and transformation experience.
• Experience working with global/distributed delivery teams.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per month
