Position: Shift Officer - Production (Pharma API)

Responsibilities

• Execute API manufacturing activities as per Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), SOPs, and GMP requirements.
• Operate and monitor reactors, centrifuges, filters, dryers, and other production equipment.
• Ensure accurate charging of raw materials and monitor process parameters during batch execution.
• Perform reaction, filtration, centrifugation, drying, milling, blending, and packing operations.
• Complete batch documentation, logbooks, and production records accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and data integrity requirements.
• Monitor batch yields and process performance; report deviations and abnormalities promptly.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Engineering, and EHS departments for smooth operations.
• Verify equipment cleanliness, line clearance, and readiness before production activities.
• Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, change controls, and audits.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of chemicals, solvents, and intermediates.
• Supervise and guide operators and contract manpower during shift operations.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental compliance standards.
• Support process validation, technology transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in production areas.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

• Experience as a Shift In-Charge or similar role
• Strong knowledge of industry safety standards.
