1099 Cable Technician

United Install Group is currently hiring 1099 Cable Technitions in New Orleans, LA, and surrouding areas. We provide installationh and service work for Spectrum (formally Cox Communications), customers, including internet, video, and phone services

Pay:

• Piece-rate compensation
• Experienced technitians average $1,000+ per week
• Top-performing technicians can average upwards of $1,800+ per week

Training Avaliable

No experience? No problem. We offer a hands-on training program (up to 3 weeks) and welcome entry-level applicants. Most technitians reach average production levels within appoximatelry 6 months.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and troubleshoot internet, video, and phone services
• Run and terminate coax and outside service work
• Perform inside and outside service work
• Educate customers and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain quality metric established by Cox Communications
• Work independently and manage daily routes averaging 8-12 daily jobs

Schedule:

• Full-time 1099 position
• Typical hours are 8:00 AM until route completion
• Daily schedules are built from 8am to 7pm
• Routes generally include 5-8 work orders per day
• Techs can work 5-6 days a week for overtime pay
• We are operational 7 days a week, and 1 weekend day is required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely carry and climb a 28' extension ladder
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to pass required background screening
• Must pass a drug screening within 48hrs of Onboarding
• Valid Driver's License with clean MVR
• Must be dependable and self motivated
• Must have exceptional customer service skills
• Being handy with tools is a plus

Perfered Tools and Experience

Experienced applicats with a cable instalation truck, tools, and/or fiber experience are encouraged to apply. Entry-level candidants are welcome, and training is avaliable.
