Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced 1099 Contract CDL Class A Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. This role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, across diverse routes such as over-the-road (OTR) and local deliveries. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, and specialized cargo while adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, on assigned delivery routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries across OTR routes or local destinations.
• Live Load and unload freight no touch freight.
• Transport general freight.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery status, or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record and current medical certification.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including freight delivery, route driving, and truck loading/unloading.
• Must have a minimum of 36 months continuous driving experience.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials handling is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries.
• Ability to handle and experience with manual transmission trucks is a must.
• Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations.
• Experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes or local delivery routes involving logistics cargo handling.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and compliance standards for dangerous goods transportation.
