1st Shift Die Maker

UEI is seeking an experienced Die Maker to join our first shift team. We are a tool and die shop specializing in the design, simulation, and build of progressive, line, and transfer stamping dies for a variety of industries. This position will work closely with our toolmakers, machinists, and engineering team to build and assemble high-quality stamping dies.

The ideal candidate is a motivated problem solver who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and enjoys working in a collaborative shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and troubleshoot progressive, line, and transfer stamping dies
• Read and interpret die design prints and CAD models
• Fit and assemble die components to tight tolerances
• Operate manual toolroom equipment including mills, grinders, and lathes
• Perform spotting, fitting, and timing of die components
• Assist with die tryouts and debugging
• Work with engineering and machining teams to resolve design or build issues
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow company safety procedures

Qualifications

• 10+ years of die making experience (progressive die experience preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret die prints and blueprints
• Strong understanding of tool steel, die components, and stamping processes
• Experience with surface grinders, manual mills, and toolroom equipment
• Experience with spotting, fitting, and die timing
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
