1st Shift Pastry Assistant

Here at Hall Street Bakery, little sister to the beloved Wealthy Street Bakery, we pride ourselves on being a 100% from scratch kitchen. Our pastries and breads are made fresh daily to ensure the highest quality product for our customers and wholesale accounts. The 1st Shift Pastry Assistants are responsible for making the pastry and bread doughs, then shaping them to beautiful perfection.

This position requires the following:

-Past experience in a professional kitchen/bakery preferred.

-The ability to stand and work for 7+ hours, 5 days/week.

-The ability to operate machinery such as mixers, dough sheeter, industrial ovens, and kitchen scales.

-Basic recipe reading skills.

-Food Sanitation knowledge.

-An eye for detail.

-The ability to communicate clearly with peers and management.

-Dependable and able to come in everyday, on time, ready to get the job done.

Additional Information:

-Pay increases are assessed monthly for the first 6 months of employment. These increases are based on how well the candidate performs independently after training is complete.

-The bakeries are CLOSED on all major holidays, but hold standard business hours on the days prior. Availability during those times is required.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
