1st Year 309A Electrical Apprentice

Peaks Electric Ltd. is looking for a hardworking and dependable 1st Year 309A Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team.

For this position, we’re more interested in the person than the experience. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn the electrical trade, takes pride in their work, and isn’t afraid of a hard day’s work.

Previous electrical experience is an asset, but it is not required. We’re willing to train the right person from the ground up.

Want to build a long-term career in the electrical trade

We don’t expect a first-year apprentice to know everything. We do expect effort, reliability, and a willingness to improve every day.

The Work

Our work is primarily residential and light commercial throughout Collingwood, Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach and the surrounding area.

You’ll gain experience with:

Custom homes and new construction

Residential service and troubleshooting

Electrical upgrades

Lighting and controls

EV chargers

Generators

Hot tubs and specialty equipment

Renovations and additions

Light commercial electrical work

This is an opportunity to learn a broad range of electrical work rather than doing the same task every day.

Requirements

Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation

Interested in pursuing a 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship

Able to perform physical construction work and lift/carry materials

Comfortable working at heights and on ladders

Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers

Willing to learn

Experience in construction, skilled trades, or other hands-on work is an asset, but not necessary.
