2-4 Year Associate Attorney - Litigation

About the Company

Highly reputable, regional law firm with offices in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston and Austin seeks 2-4 year attorney for their Houston office with strong litigation skills for their commercial litigation section. The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

• Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and case evaluations
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend and argue hearings, arbitrations, and trials
• Communicate directly with clients
• Work with partners on litigation strategy, case development, and firm growth
• Take ownership of your cases

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing
• 2-4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines
