(2) AutoCad Operators

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify and maintain detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD software in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards
• Prepare construction drawings, mechanical, electrical schematics, and other technical documentation required for project implementation
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and project managers to understand design requirements and translate them into accurate CAD drawings
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with relevant codes and standards before submission
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from design teams and project stakeholders
• Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems for all project drawings and documentation
• Ensure all drawings are properly labelled, scaled and dimensioned for clarity and ease of interpretation
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure consistency across multiple drawing sets and project phases
• Support the preparation of tender documents and project proposals that require technical drawings

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software with demonstrated experience creating technical drawings in an engineering or construction environment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, conventions and best practices
• Knowledge of construction terminology, building codes and construction methodologies
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under time constraints
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple drawings and projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects and other team members
• Diploma or certificate in AutoCAD, Engineering, Drafting or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience with additional design software such as Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or Civil 3D would be advantageous
