2 x GENERAL OPERATIVES UK & Overseas Projects

Barclay LED Solutions Ltd is looking for 2 reliable, hands-on General Operatives to support upcoming short-term UK and overseas construction and refurbishment projects.

The role will involve providing practical support across a range of site activities and working alongside skilled trades as part of a small project team.

Typical Duties

• Assisting skilled trades on site
• Moving and organising materials
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• General site setup and support
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised
• Assisting with waste removal and housekeeping
• Preparing work areas for follow-on activities
• Carrying out basic practical tasks where competent
• Supporting project mobilisation and completion works
• Helping wherever required to keep the project moving

We are looking for people who are practical, flexible and willing to get involved, rather than individuals who only want to carry out one specific type of task.

What We're Looking For

• Previous construction or site experience preferred
• Good practical ability
• Reliable and hard-working
• Comfortable with physical work
• Able to work as part of a small team
• Willing to work away from home and overseas for extended periods
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• CSCS preferred

Additional tickets such as IPAF, PASMA, First Aid or plant qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

Employment

These positions are initially intended for short-term/project-based work.

There may be opportunities to support further UK and overseas projects depending on workload, performance and availability.

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of some of our projects, applicants must be able to meet BPSS and project-specific security requirements.

Security suitability will be discussed during the initial screening process.
