Our Analyst Program

Our Analyst Program is a prestigious two-year experience at BlackRock that helps bring together personal passions with our mission. About Aladdin Financial Engineering

Aladdin® is an operating system for investment managers that seeks to connect the information, people, and technology needed to manage money in real time. The Aladdin platform combines risk analytics with portfolio management, trading, compliance, and investment operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making, effective risk management, efficient trading, and operational scale. Aladdin is used by a community of over 200 institutional clients around the world, including BlackRock. There are over 100,000 end users of Aladdin globally. The team is comprised of 1500+ professionals responsible for implementing and supporting our Aladdin clients, sales and marketing, and ensuring the Aladdin Community maximizes Aladdin products through engagement and education.

The Aladdin Financial Engineering (AFE) team researches, develops and implements innovative quantitative models used to assess financial risk across fixed income, equities, derivatives and alternative products through our proprietary technology, Aladdin. We also provide risk management and tailored advice to drive better business and investment outcomes.

As an Analyst, you will

• Apply quantitative and analytical skills to solve business problems and fulfill client requests and aid portfolio managers’ real-time decision making
• Gain an understanding of analytics, markets, risk and Aladdin’s capabilities
• Communicate sophisticated models and insights to clients and end users with varying technical backgrounds
• Build financial and statistical knowledge while improving quantitative skills
• Contribute to high-profile projects that advance BlackRock’s top strategic priorities

What capabilities are we looking for?

• A passion for applying quantitative techniques to real-world problems
• Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
• Intermediate coding and programming skills, e.g., R and/or Python
• Knowledge of finance, econometrics, statistical analysis or advanced math
• Critical thinking
• Problem-solving skills
• Being a passionate student of the financial markets
• English and Japanese language proficiency is a requirement

Eligibility

Undergraduate or master’s students of all academic backgrounds graduating between September 2025 and August 2027.
