2027 Graduate Trainee Programme (Technology Stream)

Programme Overview

With an aim to strengthen our junior talent pipeline and support the sustainable development of the Bank, the Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to nurture young talents with technology-related knowledge and capabilities to support the Bank's business operations and development.

During the one-year Graduate Trainee Programme, trainees will undergo structured training and development through job rotations across Front, Middle and Back Office departments. With guidance and support from Department Heads and mentors, trainees will gain practical exposure to banking operations and technology-related functions, develop professional knowledge and competencies, and acquire a comprehensive understanding of the Bank's operations.

Upon completion of the programme, trainees will be assessed based on their performance. Confirmation of employment and subsequent job placement will be determined according to individual performance, the Bank's operational needs and personal preferences.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties and deliver results in accordance with the objectives and requirements of the respective departments.
• Support daily banking operations and assist in technology-related activities across different departments.
• Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects involving banking operations and technology.
• Assist in system-related projects, including the preparation of user requirements, system testing and implementation activities.
• Support data collection, analysis, reporting and preparation of relevant documentation.
• Comply with internal policies, procedures, information security guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Handle ad hoc tasks and assignments as required.

Job Requirements

• Fresh graduates who have graduated or are expected to graduate and be awarded a Bachelor’s degree or above between 1 January 2026 and 31 August 2027.
• Major in Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant disciplines.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Detail-minded, with strong analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and willing to embrace new technologies and challenges.
• Strong desire to learn and develop a career in the banking industry.
• Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity and a strong sense of compliance.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
