Position Summary
LifeWorx is a premier home care and staffing company providing elder care, nanny, and housekeeper services across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, the Carolinas, and Florida. Our clients expect a concierge level of service, and every person on our team plays a part in delivering it.
Each LifeWorx intern cohort shares a common purpose: to help us reach more families and build the capabilities to serve them even better. Together, your cohort will take on one or two collective projects during your internship, each with real impact and real visibility. You will also be paired with a dedicated mentor who will guide your growth, and your work will directly shape the experience our families and caregivers have with LifeWorx every day.
Where You Can Contribute
We are currently offering internships in the departments below. Each plays a distinct role in connecting families with exceptional care, and each gives interns meaningful work that supports how LifeWorx grows and serves its clients.
- Recruitment: Support sourcing, screening, and scheduling caregiver candidates. Our recruiters find and vet the professionals families trust in their homes, so every successful placement begins with their work.
- Sales: Support business development by identifying new opportunities and building referral relationships, and learn consultative selling by understanding each family's needs and matching them with the right care. Sales is how LifeWorx grows, one lasting client relationship at a time.
- Marketing: Help create social media and content that tells the LifeWorx story. Marketing builds the trust and visibility that bring new families and caregivers to our door.
- Healthcare Compliance: Review company policies and procedures against healthcare regulations, identify gaps, and help shape the standards our teams follow. Compliance protects our clients, our caregivers, and the trust our reputation is built on.
- Finance: Help build the systems and processes that keep our books accurate, organized, and reliable. Finance brings order to a growing business and gives leadership the clear numbers it needs to plan ahead.
- Technology: Work on our in-house CRM and ATS software, from routine updates and QA to building new features. It is a rare chance to create something new and see it used across the company every day.
What Are the Qualifications?
- Education: Students enrolled in their junior or senior year are encouraged to apply. Recent graduates with a bachelor's degree are preferred.
- Professionalism & Communication: A polished, courteous presence on the phone and in person, clear communication, and strong organizational habits.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working in a group as well as independently.
- Innovation & Creativity: A spirit for innovation and the creativity to bring fresh ideas to how we work.
- Interest: Curiosity about one of our departments and a desire to learn.
- Service Mindset: An appreciation for white-glove customer service and the care it takes to deliver it.
Why Should You Join Our Internship Program?
- Work That Matters: Help your cohort build something that moves LifeWorx forward and extends our reach to more families.
- Company-Wide Exposure: Learn from leaders across LifeWorx and see firsthand how every team contributes to client care.
- Trust & Support: We give our team the room to own their work, with leadership support along the way.
- Growth-Oriented: We have opened a new office or expanded territories each year for the last four years, and we promote from within.
- Path to Hire: Top interns are considered for permanent roles.
