Company Description The McGregor Foundation is a Life Plan community dedicated to gracious senior living on a picturesque 45-acre estate overlooking downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie. The organization offers a full spectrum of accommodations and services, including assisted and independent living, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospice, and respite care. McGregor focuses on creating meaningful experiences for residents, fostering relationships, and supporting successful aging across the care continuum. Role Description The 2026 McGregor Marketing & Communication Internships are full-time, on-site roles based in Greater Cleveland. Interns will support the marketing and communications team by assisting with content creation for print and digital channels, including social media posts, website updates, newsletters, and promotional materials. Daily tasks may include conducting market research, gathering resident and community stories, supporting event promotion, and helping maintain brand consistency across all communications. Interns will collaborate with staff to respond to inquiries, promote McGregor’s services and programs, and help develop outreach initiatives that highlight the community’s mission and offerings. These roles provide hands-on experience in marketing and communications within a senior living environment, working closely with team members and occasionally interacting with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage effectively with internal teams and external audiences.
• Candidates should possess skills in Market Research and Marketing Strategy to support campaign planning and evaluation.
• Candidates should possess an interest or foundational skills in Sales and Marketing to assist with outreach and promotion of McGregor’s services.
• Basic proficiency with digital tools (e.g., social media platforms, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace) and comfort learning new software.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in senior living, healthcare, or nonprofit work and a commitment to respectful, inclusive interaction with older adults.
• Ability to work on-site in Greater Cleveland, collaborate with diverse colleagues, and follow McGregor’s policies and guidelines.
