What they need
General Dynamics Electric Boat offers an unparalleled experiential learning opportunity for college students seeking for-credit, full-time engineering co-op experience within the defense industry. Students work alongside expert engineers, contributing to the design, construction, and lifecycle support of the United States Navy’s nuclear submarines—shaping the future of undersea innovation.
Electric Boat engineers collaborate across disciplines and directly with our customer to develop advanced technical solutions. As an Engineering Co-op Trainee , students are immersed in real-world engineering activities with direct mentorship from senior staff. Trainees gain hands-on exposure to complex systems and cutting-edge projects, including work supporting the Columbia Class submarine design and enhancements to the Virginia Class fleet.
