Job Description:

These are unpaid internships for credit hours.

Promise Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing primary medical care, dental, and mental health services to all patients regardless of ability to pay.

We are recruiting interns to fill a variety of roles for 2027.

This is a general internship announcement. Specific goals and projects will be set upon recruitment. The areas below indicate general areas within the clinic. If you would like more information, please connect via this posting.

Schedules can be flexible around school and work as long as the hours and projects are being completed.

Requirements for Application:

• Current Resume
• Cover Letter expressing your:
  • Interest in interning at Promise Healthcare
  • Specific university program
  • Internship area(s) of interest
  • Desired internship term
  • Number of hours required for your program
  • Skills and assets you bring such as proficiency in another language
• US work authorization (Required)
• Provide proof of immunizations if selected:
  • MMR
  • Tdap (within the last 10 years or booster required)
  • Hepatitis B (clinical only, declination permitted)
  • TB test within the last year (clinical only)
  • Flu - current season (Oct 1-Mar 1 only)

Service Lines/Clinic Projects Recruiting Interns May Include:

• Clinical: Assists with providing direct care to patients in a clinical setting
  • Behavioral Health Therapy (must be enrolled in the School of Social Work, MSW program)
  • Dental Assistant CLOSED
  • Nursing (must be enrolled in the College of Nursing) CLOSED
• Administrative: May assist patients but does so in a non-clinical setting
  • Patient Services CLOSED
  • Marketing & Fundraising
  • Medical Services CLOSED
  • Human Resources (HR) CLOSED
  • Quality Improvement (QI) CLOSED
  • Pharmacy/340B CLOSED
  • Case Management (must be enrolled in the School of Social Work, BSW program)
  • Health Information Management (HIM)/Referrals CLOSED
