ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)

• Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BScN preferred.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• Cardiovascular Module Certificate of Critical Care Nursing Program from a Community College (within past 5 years).
• Current ACLS certification

-Current Certification in Delegated Medical Acts - Recognition and Treatment of arrhythmias, life saving drugs, application of energy

• Minimum three (3) years current PACU experience (within past 3 years)
• Minimum one (1) year current surgical experience (within past 5 years) preferred.
• Advanced competency in epidural pain management, central and arterial lines
• Acute Pain Management.
• Physical assessment skills.
• Airway management skills.
• Procedural Sedation Certification within 6 months of hiring.
• Member of RNAO preferred.
• Satisfactory attendance.
