Functional Responsibilities include but are NOT limited to:

• Performs quality audits of products, procedures and operations to assure compliance of established quality and manufacturing standards.

• Documents and reports results of dock audits.

• Inspects bags at machines during production runs to ensure they meet specifications.

• Inspect bags in stagging area to ensure they meet specifications.

• Assist in the preparation of statistical data in quality, productivity and scrap.

• Assist in tracking of internal failure regarding cause and corrective action.

• Controls special quality projects as assigned.

• Informs supervisor of quality related problems.

• Calibration of equipment.

• Assist in the performance of documentation of rework as needed.

• Conduct inventory of hold inventory and non-conforming areas (weekly).

• Perform other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Calibration of equipment

• Quality manual and work instructions

• Tape measure

• Scissors, box cutter, slider angle tester, haver tester

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.

• Required to regularly; stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, sit, climb, and balance.

• Frequent bending and stooping.

• Specific vision ability required includes close and color vison.

• Hazards are those normally associated with a plant position and include: noise levels above 85 decibels, warm building temperature during mid-summer months.

• Personal and product safety requirements for the plant include: hearing protection, safety glasses and safety shoes.

• WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Plant manufacturing floor.

• QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or G.E.D. minimum

• Preferably three (3) to five (5) years of on-the-job multi-wall experience.

Skills

• Must be able to communicate in an effective and respectful manner.

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions.

• Ability to read measurements, gauge meters.

• Follow standard procedures.

• Good basic math skills.

• Good computer spread sheet and word processing skills.

• Ability to plan work activities, work independently and as a member of a team, with minimal supervision.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
