Duties

• Develop high-quality 2D animations for characters, environments, and visual effects using industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, and Toon Boom Harmony.
• Collaborate with storyboards, art directors, and technical teams to translate concepts into animated sequences that align with project goals.
• Integrate motion graphics, video effects, and visual storytelling techniques to enhance narrative flow and viewer engagement.
• Utilize scripting languages like Python or C# to automate repetitive tasks and optimize animation pipelines for efficiency.
• Contribute to the post-production process by editing animated sequences in Adobe Premiere or similar video editing tools, ensuring seamless integration of visuals and sound.
• Maintain consistent style and quality across all animations while adhering to project timelines and technical specifications.
• Stay updated on emerging animation trends, software updates, and industry best practices to continually refine your craft.

Requirements

• Proven experience in character animation, motion graphics, and 2D animation production within a professional art or design environment.
• Proficiency with animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D for integrated workflows.
• Strong understanding of color theory, anatomy knowledge, illustration skills, and digital art fundamentals.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software like Maya, Blender (3D software), ZBrush or Mudbox is a plus for integrating 3D elements into 2D projects.
• Technical proficiency in scripting languages (Python, C#, C++) to streamline processes within animation pipelines.
• Experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine for interactive or real-time animations is desirable.
• Knowledge of video effects application, compositing techniques, and video editing tools like Adobe Premiere is essential.
• Excellent storytelling ability combined with a keen eye for detail in typography and visual composition.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a pipeline environment using version control systems like Perforce or similar tools.
• Strong communication skills paired with the ability to interpret creative briefs clearly and effectively.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
