2D Designer

5 Team Events and Exhibition LLC is a Dubai-based event production and custom exhibition fabrication company. With an in-house fabrication facility in Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2, we deliver end-to-end event production, bespoke exhibition stands, brand activations, and retail environments across the UAE (including DWTC and ADNEC).

Role Overview

We are seeking an accurate, detail-oriented 2D Graphic Designer with direct experience in the events, exhibitions, and large-format print sector. In this role, you will work closely with our 3D design team, project managers, and workshop crew to produce high-impact branding graphics, prepare error-free large-format print production files, and support client proposal layouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Large-Format Print Production: Prepare print-ready artwork (1:1 scale or scaled with precise DPI/bleed settings) for exhibition stand walls, backdrops, hoardings, lightboxes, vehicle branding, and promotional counters.
• Collaboration with 3D Designers: Take approved 3D stand concepts and unwrap/extract flat 2D elevation surfaces to apply brand graphics, client logos, and vector illustrations accurately according to scale.
• Print & Substrate Coordination: Coordinate directly with internal print operators and external print vendors to choose suitable substrates (e.g., self-adhesive vinyl, backlit fabric, banner PVC, foam board, direct UV flatbed prints, and CNC-cut vinyl decals).
• Signage & Vector Art Preparation: Create cutting paths, contour cuts, and vector paths for CNC routing and vinyl plotters (e.g., 3D illuminated acrylic letters, metal logos, neon signage).
• Color Management & Quality Control: Perform color matching (Pantone/CMYK), inspect hard proofs and sample swatches, and perform prepress checks to eliminate pixelation, typos, or scaling errors before production.
• Pitch & Proposal Decks: Design clean, branded client presentation decks, mood boards, 2D floor plans, and company profile collaterals in InDesign, Illustrator, or PowerPoint.
• Workshop & Site Support: Verify artwork dimensions against actual constructed carpentry elements in our Ras Al Khor workshop prior to site dispatch and installation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a 2D Graphic Designer / Prepress Specialist specifically within an Exhibition Fabrication, Event Production, or Large-Format Print Company in the UAE/GCC.
• Software Proficiency:
• Expert-level mastery of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and CorelDRAW (preferred for plotters/printers).
• Basic understanding of reading AutoCAD 2D layouts and elevation drawings.
• Print Knowledge: Deep understanding of prepress setup, bleed/crop marks, resolutions, color profiles (CMYK vs. RGB vs. Pantone), tiling for oversized walls, and substrate behavior.
• Multitasking & Speed: Proven ability to turn around revisions rapidly during peak exhibition seasons and live project build-ups.
• Language: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Location: Based in the UAE and able to work on-site at Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2, Dubai.
