2nd Electrician

. Responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, upkeep, diagnosis, installations, repair and testing  of all electrical equipment onboard to the highest degree of safety and performance in accordance with Company Policies and in compliance with Public Health, any National or International standards or any other prescribed regulations.

2. Ensures proper coordination with different technical parties and departments.

Reporting Structure

1. Reporting to the Chief Electrician and 1st Electrician.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for repairing lights and power outlets throughout the ship. Performs minor repairs of all

shipboard appliances (to include but not limited to the following):

a. Light systems including emergency and navigation lighting

b. Galley and pantry equipment

c. Provision equipment

d. Laundry machinery and equipment (main laundry as well as Guest and Crew Laundries)

e. Dining, Bar, Housekeeping pantry equipment

f. Rooms Division equipment

2. Proactively communicates stock and inventory of spare parts to Chief Electrician and 1st Electrician.

3. Participates in the development of on board operational plans in accordance with all technical,

legislative, safety and procedural specifications, to support the successful completion of

maintenance periods and works closely with the Hotel Department on all maintenance issues,

ensuring a minimal impact on the shipboard operation.

4. Reports completed maintenance to the Chief Electrician for entry into the planned maintenance

system.

5. Safe maintenance, operation, repair, supervision and ownership of electrical systems according to

Company policies and other prescribed regulations.

6. Keeps Chief Electrician and 1st Electrician promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of

significance. Conducting daily communication to review progress and agree on work prioritization.

7. Accurate completion of log books and other assigned documentation.

8. Accountable for ensuring that Company, Public Health, National and International standards are

maintained and meeting requirements. Reporting to the Chief Electrician any instances where the

ship is unable or fails to comply.

9. Observes and enforces uniform and grooming standards according to Company policies.

10. Practices good people management, maintaining proper conduct within the Engine department and

other departments around the ship.

11. All other duties as assigned.
