About the student

• Student is a 2nd grader attending Hayden Meadows Elementary School. She needs to work with a tutor for ELA (reading, writing, spelling) and Math. She is currently struggling and is behind in reading, writing, spelling and math. She is aware and very self-conscious that she is not reading on par with her peers. Dad wants her to work with a tutor for some extra one-on-one support. She needs a tutor who can not only help her get caught back up to grade level but also help build her confidence.
• The goals for the student are to improve her foundational skills when it comes to her reading and math, with a special focus on comprehension and fluency.
• The family want 1 hour sessions once a week on Wednesdays between 4pm-6pm.
• Family wants to meet the tutor in-person at their home in Hayden not far from McIntire Family Park.

Requirements

REQUIRED

• You have experience teaching/tutoring.
• You are willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles).
• Due to insurance requirements, applicant must not be a minor.
• You are available for 1 hour sessions once a week on Wednesdays between 4pm-6pm.

PREFERRED

• You have a teaching certification.
• You have experience working with students with ADHD.
• You are familiar with the way the local school district teaches math and ELA.
