2nd shift Forklift Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to support warehouse distribution and logistics operations. Your expertise in inventory management, order picking, and shipping & receiving will ensure smooth flow of goods while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift trucks such as lift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Manage inventory through barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and update warehouse management systems (WMS) accordingly.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision using order picker equipment while adhering to quality standards.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols and warehouse safety standards during all operations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Support manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials transfer within the warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (including lift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers), pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo machinery.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and materials handling procedures.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and manual handling safety standards in production environments.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts.
• Excellent adherence to forklift safety protocols as outlined by OSHA regulations.
• Experience in warehouse operations with a focus on materials handling equipment operation and heavy equipment repair when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently during second shift hours in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $16.75 per hour
