2nd Shift - Machine Operator

Training and Shift Schedule: Training will take place on first shift until the employee demonstrates an understanding of the responsibilities and processes in both departments. The employee will then transition to their assigned second-shift schedule, typically within two to three months of their start date, depending on training progress.

Shift Differential: An additional $0.75 per hour will take effect when the employee transitions to their designated second-shift schedule.

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator for second shift to support both our Wax and Ceramic department. This is one position with time shared between the two departments based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automatic wax injection equipment to produce quality wax patterns.
• Inspect wax patterns for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
• Prepare ceramic slurries and dip wax patterns to build ceramic shells.
• Monitor drying cycles and inspect ceramic shells for defects.
• Inspect incoming materials, record inspection results, and report quality concerns.
• Follow work instructions, production requirements, and safety procedures in both departments.
• Perform routine equipment care and report equipment malfunctions.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn processes in both departments.
• Flexibility to move between departments as work is assigned.
• Physical dexterity to handle wax patterns and ceramic molds.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work second shift.
• Manufacturing experience or familiarity with wax injection or ceramic processes is a plus however not needed as all required training will be provided.
• Completion of required work center and safety training.
