Position Summary: The Maintenance position is responsible for performing major and minor repairs of buildings and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This person must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This position requires an understanding or a willingness to learn how machinery operates and the ability to work and solve problems independently.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform minor and major repairs of buildings and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, grease bearings, seals, repairs or replaces broken parts etc.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
• Obtain estimates for supplies & repair parts; orders parts as needed
• Continuously maintain a safe work area clear from debris, clutter, and dust
• Willingness to cross train and take on new tasks
• Maintain an excellent attendance record
• Must be safety conscious, have a positive attitude, and work well in a team environment

Language Standards:

• Must understand spoken English.

Preference:

• 2-3 yrs manufacturing based experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to perform in a fast, labor-intensive environment with exposure to dust particles and loud machinery
• Capability of performing repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping
• Willingness to obtain MacDonald & Owen forklift certification
• A general understanding of the mechanics of a lift truck to identify troubles with the equipment
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
