2nd Shift Production Superintendent

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for training of supervisors, gives direction as needed to supervisors to ensure productions is efficient. Takes daily needs and develops a plan of action for the supervisors to accomplish those tasks at a time frame that accomplishes the customer’s needs. Oversees supervisors in their safety, employee welfare, QA/USDA issues and takes on all tasks assigned by Shift Managers and takes the responsibility of the Shift Manager in his/her absence.

Essential Functions:

· Leads all functions to meet quality and food safety requirements.

· Work with employees to develop good working relationships and high morale while performing administrative duties as it relates to the production process.

· Develop and train employees, holding safety meetings, group discussions and troubleshooting areas that might cause a problems with production

· Complies with regulatory guidelines and fosters positive working relations with local and state agencies including USDA and OSHA.

· Leads Supervisors with production scheduling to assure achievement of output schedules which meet company delivery requirements.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 6 months as a Supervisor in a Poultry Environment.

· Minimum of 1 year experience in the Poultry Industry.

· Experience supervising a minimum of 30 hourly employees.

· Basic Computer Skills required: Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Demonstrated success in overall management of safety and compliance within food manufacturing environment.

· Must have above average leadership, technical and problem solving skills.

· Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to perform the job and meet the necessary deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Poultry Plant Management: 3 years (Required)
